We are a private pay provider and an “out-of-network” provider for all insurance companies.
If you are seeking reimbursement from your insurance company, a Superbill (detailed receipts) can be provided to you with treatment codes, diagnosis codes, and all of the necessary information. You may contact your insurance company directly to determine if they provide coverage for out-of-network assessment and treatment for occupational therapy services.
Each insurance company is different, and it is your responsibility to contact your insurance provider to find out exactly what is covered. We do not submit anything directly to insurance companies.

Cash, credit, and HSA/FSA cards are accepted. You can easily pay your invoice on the Client Portal and even set up Auto Pay. We are an approved TEFA provider and PDSES grant provider.

Duration and frequency of therapy sessions are completely dependent on the individual needs of each client. There is no “one size fits all.” The OT evaluation will help determine the appropriate plan of care. Our Foundations sessions are often 45 to 60 minutes, 1 to 2 times per week.
Bright Start Intensive sessions are typically 2 hours per day, for 5 consecutive days. A 2-week intensive is 5 consecutive days, break for Saturday and Sunday, and 5 additional consecutive days.
Every child’s timeline is unique. We assure you, it is our ultimate goal to have your child “graduate” from OT as soon as they are ready. Specific, measurable goals will be created to monitor progress and readiness for discharge.
-
No. Although we are experienced in working with a variety of medical diagnoses, such as Autism, ADD/ADHD, cerebral palsy, genetic conditions, and developmental disabilities, your child may also just need some extra support to catch up with age-appropriate skills. Many different kiddos can benefit from OT!

Every child has off days, but sometimes those moments aren't just a phase. They're a pattern. And patterns are worth paying attention to. Bright Beginnings OT & Wellness helps families figure out which is which. Below are some of the most common signs many parents tell us about right before they book an evaluation.
Big Reactions, Slow Recovery
Meltdowns that seem bigger than the situation calls for
Takes a long time to calm down once upset
Gets overwhelmed by loud sounds, certain textures, tags, or messy hands
Seeks out spinning, crashing, or being squeezed tightly
Seems anxious around transitions or new situations
Movement and Coordination
Clumsy or accident-prone compared to peers
Avoids the playground, or specific equipment on it
Tires quickly during seated schoolwork
Trouble with pencil grip or handwriting that's hard to read
Still struggling with buttons, zippers, or tying shoes past the age most kids pick it up
Attention and Focus
Can't stay seated or focused for age-appropriate tasks
In constant motion — fidgeting, climbing, needing to move
Loses the thread partway through a task
Acts before thinking things through
Everyday Independence
Needs more help than expected with dressing, feeding, or hygiene
Picky eating that seems tied to texture, not taste
Toileting delays with no medical explanation
Social Connection
Trouble reading facial expressions or body language
Prefers to play alone
Struggles with back-and-forth conversation or group play
Notes From School
Teachers mentioning fidgeting, messy handwriting, or trouble following multi-step directions
Difficulty staying in her seat or transitioning between activities
Poor academic performance despite being intelligent

If your child participated in an occupational therapy evaluation within the past six months, we can likely work with their most recent evaluation to help create an individualized treatment plan and goals.
Any gaps in the previous assessment (e.g., full primitive reflex testing) may require some informal assessment in the first session or two so we can gain a complete picture of their development.
We will also require our intake forms to be completed to provide us with the most up-to-date information regarding your child.
-
Absolutely! We defer to the parent’s preference. You are welcome to be as present as you would like. Some parents drop off at our clinic and return when the session is complete, while others wait in our waiting room. Some stay for all sessions and even are invited to engage in activities with us. As long as the child is engaged and participating, we encourage parent involvement.
Note: We do require a parent or caregiver remain on site for in-home visits.
-
We offer payment plans for our Bright Start Intensives, breaking the investment into 4 monthly payments. Foundations sessions are not offered on a payment plan.
-
We would love to! We find it incredibly valuable to collaborate with each child’s support team to allow for continuity. Similarly, we will provide referral suggestions for trusted providers, should we observe a need for the support of another provider.
-
We work with children ages 0 to 21.
